Captain Viscount Blackmore will arrive shortly after the Boscawen party, offer his most hearty congratulations to the newlywed Their Graces, then make his way to Miss Sarah Boscawen's side to offer great apologies for his slight tardiness as her escort. The reason he whispers in her ear earns forgiveness and melts her raised eyebrow frown into a warm smile. He takes his place by her side at the table, but before doing so... When he lays eyes upon Katharine Sunderlin, he cannot contain his surprise and joy to see her. He shouts "KAT!" and rushes up to her, stopping himself just in the nick of time before making the most unseemly public display of warmly embracing her and spinning her around in a great bear hug like he really wants to. He is just so happy to see her alive and well and reunited with her family. He regains his composure and formally introduces Captain Kat to Miss Sarah Boscawen who is trying her best to stifle many giggles at his near guffaw.

15 Dec 1811 - Portsmouth Yard The docks are buzzing with rumors of Captain Viscout Blackmore's capture by the French Navy. Speculation abounds concerning the fate of Captain Jack, his crew, and his beloved HMS Stalwart. The Admiralty has neither confirmed nor denied rumors.

Oooh, I was a little uncertain how to write one out of the blue considering Jack's current, ahm, situation, but I just read your character bio, and it gave me an idea. So I'll send something soon!

Captain Viscount Blackmore's mother, Ret. Major Emma Thorn Blackmore, the Countess of Oakwood will attend on his behalf, doing her usual get-Jack-married thing, and she will happily gossip and banter with anyone that wants to visit her up in the family box or during cocktails/dinner/dancing. For visualization, imagine the renowned real world actress Emma Thompson playing a retired Royal Marine officer and attending the gala in masculine cut evening attire.

Please send Jack letters and tell him all about the festival he will be missing as he's away at sea!

@Primrose Hazelton, CaptainViscount Blackmore sends his regrets as he is to sea. His mother, however, The Countess of Oakwood, Retired Major Emma Thorn Blackmore will attend on his behalf and quite possibly drag Jack's Father, Robert Pierce Blackmore, Earl of Oakwood along with her. The Countess loves to hunt, for grouse and future daughters-in-law. They will stay for tea. If Lady Merriweather is in attendance, the Countess will be delighted and hijinx could ensue. Enjoy!
