RSVP: Mademoiselle Callisto Rose LaBelle and her Mother Marquess Annette LaBelle
Attendance: Garden Party Only
What she did overall: Mademoiselle Callisto Rose LaBelle spent most of the party looking for Lady Tabitha Catherine Louise de Beauchamp so that she could reconnect with a childhood friend. Also at her mothers insistence, she tried to keep herself open to conversation and possible flirting, though her type of flirting is listing-off books she’s recently read. Callisto’s early afternoon consisted of loitering in the Fountain Square doing several laps. It was rather hard for her to mingle amongst the crowd though as she was wearing the largest pink sun hat anyone has ever seen (or at least had seen in awhile). Of course she isn’t as graceful as she would like to be with a hat that large, knocking into many of the guests, or worse, tickling them with her gigantic feathers invoking sneezing, or worse, a case of the giggle fits. At a certain point, and a number of apologies later, she grabs a glass to refresh herself and sits in a pout on an empty bench off to the side in defeat. There, she waited, anxiously people watching to see if she could identify people of interest from the Social Gazette. She then moved her search area to the Rose Garden in the mid-afternoon, hoping to possibly relive her childhood revelries with her long lost friend as they used to in Versailles if she happened by. After spending some time to appreciate the garden, she moved on to other areas of the party to find interesting conversations to listen to. Once the afternoon started to push toward the evening though, she decided to go to the Riverside Walk to get away from her mother showing off her dress and to catch a breeze - and a breeze she caught. Her large hat took flight off her head and sailed down the walkway with Callisto Rose rushing behind it. When she left tat day she made a number of new acquaintances and learned her letters worked to meet with those of special interest. As she departed, those who recognized the girl realized her big pink hat was nowhere to be found.
She had written to @Abraham Griffen (Steve he/him), @(Rachel) Hazel Wynnewood, Earl of Erroll - Archibald Stewart, @Flora Owen, @Lady Arabella Ashbrooke (Mitzie), @Captain Katharine Sunderlin (she/her, Kim), Lady Elliana Moonshire, Lady Dakila, Lady Marquess @Daniella Montemarano inviting them to introduce themselves to the girl in the large pink hat, but she wasn’t sure if they got her letters in time. Guess she’ll have to wait and see. (OOC: I'm not sure how to @everyone - help the newbie)

Before the Garden Party Scene:
Lady Callisto and her mother came to the party a tad bit too early. Luckily there were house ours before the Garden Party started. It was here that met up with@(Rachel) Hazel Wynnewood as they toured the large estate together. They spent most of their time looking a portraits, including one of Lady Prim's hound Vincent. It was here the two ladies discovered they had a common interest of coming up with silly backstories and narratives for the people in the portraits as the whispered and giggles as the stories built upon each others imagination.
Early Afternoon Scene: She would make a very bad spymaster indeed - Central Fountain Square
Callisto came in an ornate dress embellished with roses and possibly the biggest, “featheryist” pink sun hat that anyone has ever seen (or at least seen in awhile). It seems she was snaking through the crowd, listening in on conversations of the young women on the floor and took curiosity in their faces. One would think she’d just introduce herself, but no, once it seems she has observed them enough, she moves on. It’s almost as if she is looking for someone. Of course she isn’t as stealthy as she means to be with a hat that large, knocking many into many of the guests, or worse, tickling them with her gigantic feathers invoking sneezing, or worse, a case of the giggle fits. At a certain point, and a number of apologies later, she grabs a glass to refresh herself and sits in a pout on an empty bench off to the side in defeat. Her pink hat almost takes up the space of a person on either side of her. There, she waits hoping anxiously people watching intensely as if taking mental notes while she slowly sips her drink.
At a certain point @Ellianna Moonshire (Kaylee) comes to join her on the bench. They exchange introductions and quickly bond over the mystery of The Denouement Ball. Callisto pulls out a page of the Society Gazette, where they share stories over the rakish Black Crow and his many kissing conquests featured in the political cartoon. They start taking notes of those in attendance, trying to see if they can place their identities. @Flora Owen also made Callisto's acquaintance as well, having received her letter in time for the event. @The Honourable Carrington Starling (Dafydd) also introduced themselves and they both bonded over literature.
Soon Callisto excuses herself to make another round to try and find her childhood friend. Miss Eliza Thomas, noticing that Callisto seemed to be searching the guests rather than just snooping, offered to help and introduces herself. Miss Eliza is quite happy to learn that she can easily help Mademoiselle Callisto, as Lady Tabitha Catherine Louise de Beauchamp is also a friend of theirs. At that point, the young women start a hunt of their own to find the missing French Beauty, as Miss Eliza catches Callisto up on what her dear friend as been doing since they last parted ways. Callisto does not seem to speak much, but when prompted, she does share a happy childhood memory of Lady Beauchamp when they were children. Their search, while exciting, was short lived as Lady Beauchamp was actually assisting the host @Primrose Hazelton. Here, Callisto was reintroduced to her friend and her lovely son who clutched to her dress. It was in this moment that lady Hazelton admires Callisto's hat. The lady in the hat, stammered out her thanks with too much information, and then whispered something to the host. After that Lady Callisto and Miss Thomas attempted to steal Lady Beauchamp away from co-host duties so that they could possibly frolic near the fountain, much like Callisto's stories she told of a carefree Lady Beauchamp used to do with her at Versailles. Whether that was successful is up to Lady Beauchamp.
Mid-Afternoon Scene: A rose by any other name - Rose Garden
After making a few introductions and thanking the host, Callisto finds her way into the Rose Garden. She slowly sways back and forth to the music as she grazes her hands along the soft petals. Every now and then she stops to admire a unique breed of Rose by pulling out a small sketch book. Interestingly enough she almost blends into the scenery, as she is wearing an ornate and embellished dress covered in with roses. Her dark curly red auburn hair also blends into the hedges. The one thing that does break the illusion is the silly sight of her hat. Yet in this light, it almost appears as if this peaceful moment makes her shine. She doesn't seem to noticed where she is going though, as she ends up bumping back into Miss Thomas again who is also admiring the beauty of the roses. Callisto and Miss Thomas share an awkward second introduction, but it seems Callisto is willing to show her what she has been sketching, babbling away Latin names of the roses and a myriad of facts about each one. This might be the most relaxed she’s been all day aside from when she met with Lady Tabitha. Miss Thomas decided to stay quiet and listen, only interrupting to ask a question or so. Callisto was excited to learn that Miss Thomas knows Latin, but was not well verses in the flower names. Elisa shared her interest in learning the symbolism of flowers, but admitted she doesn't and has been trying to find guides as she feels that others have been telling her things she might not understand. Callisto herself in not well versed in the subject, but offered to help her locate guides at the Royal Library or perhaps at her house. When Miss Thomas invites Callisto to go back to the party to get more tea, Callisto happily agrees and as they walk back to the party Calisto continues to chirp like a bird all about facts she knows about tea and its use in the medical field.
Late Afternoon Scene - That damn hat… - River Walk Scene
Callisto goes to the rivers edge to take in the night breeze. The late afternoon peaks through her light pink dress, illuminating her form with a faint orange ombré glow. Problem is, it seems the wind may have been stronger than she thought and her hat comes loose as it takes flight. “Oh heavens!” She exclaims as she tried to catch the hat on her head with no luck. Perhaps it’s the numerous soft feather that aid it, but it is as if the hat sails with wings down the the promenade. The small young woman bounce along the rivers edge trying to catch it the hat. As she is running she seems to have picked up a friend, a lynx actually, who happily beats her to the landing spot of her hat. The lynx wastes no time with what appears to be a delicious feathery fowl, pouncing upon it with great fever and covering the ground in feathers and pink fabric. Captain Abraham Griffen arrives at the scene to discover the carnage of his dear Esme and a very shocked Callisto who is not quite sure what to do. It appears that the Captain graciously apologizes and takes responsibility for his proud feline companion, but Callisto reacts unexpectedly as someone who just witnessed the murder of couture fashion. She instead praised the lynx before it runs off to find a meal with far more substance. It is from that point that Callisto and Captain Griffen exchanged introductions and continued to enjoy each others company as they walked the promenade together back toward the party where Callisto's mother angrily waited for her daughter so that they could return home. As for the hat, its whereabouts are unknown. The last time it was seen, it was floating down the river off to its next adventure.

Mademoiselle Callisto Rose’s Featured Attire: She is sporting a very large wide brimmed pink sunhat ornately adorned with roses and white ostrich feathers. Her white and embellished rose dress includes a hand painted lace sheath that drapes from waist that falls right above the hem. She was also be seen fanning herself from the heat with a shimmering gold hand fan that only enhanced the gold embellishments on her outfit. As always, her ensemble included her signature pink pearl necklace.
