Molyneux. @Earl Nicholas Howard (Evan) (or "Cousin Nicky") is not sober, comes to say hello and bumps into her, causing her to spill red wine onto her sleeve. Emmeline says something through gritted teeth to Nicholas. The Col. tries to dab at the stain with a handkerchief. It would be difficult for anyone in the vicinity to miss: As soon as the dabbing starts... @Duke James Richmond (Greg) approaches the Col. & Emmeline with a sense of purpose, says "If you'll excuse us...", takes Emmeline by the arm and leads (not drags, just confidently guides) Emmeline to a corner where they are whisper arguing for a few minutes. Then James walks away, vexed. After the race Emmeline would be seen approaching @Mr. Edmund Ayles (Jesse) to congratulate him on a job well done. Still slightly tipsy but just light and happy in a way nobody's seen her in 6 years. The conversation soon becomes tangibly more substantive and Emmeline appears really invested in it. Anyone seeing it would recognize it as not a tipsy girl vapidly flirting, but two adults having a really interesting conversation (very much despite the discrepancy in their stations). I'm not clear on "ownership" here when it comes to who IC is the leader of the stitch & bitch... or if it's a shared group by Theodosia & Amelia (that could be a cool connection, btw... that the two of you were friends? rivals? who started to get together and it slowly it grew to this group). I've been thinking a lot about this and I'm so grateful that you put this up! I'm not going to post in public, but I have been working to define my character's flaws so that I'm not a total Mary Sue, and I'm inviting anyone whose character knows mine to reach out to me in DM so I can share things you'd likely have observed about me and see how it might impact our particular tie without skewing my general first-impressions and overall reputation.

I too am very new to embroidery but am trying my hand at it. I'll join whatever circle we end up with. Also, crochet proper has not been invented, but Irish crochet is on the verge of popularization and explodes mid-century. But, it was thought to already be there by the time we're in game. "In 1743 Lady Arabella Denny introduced Lace-making to Workhouses for the poor in Dublin, & it is thought that it was an early form of Crochet, imitating the appearance of Venetian Gros Point". I wanted to find a unique craft to make trinkets for folks. So, since my character's heritage is Irish and she spent a year over there with family, I'm not sweating perfect historical accuracy and I'm saying she picked it up from her family.

@Mr. James Hughes MP...I don't know how I missed this, but as a political character, it might make sense for your family to have at least some connection to mine (though we specifically might not have overlapped). My father was William Petty-FitzMaurice and he rose through the ranks to serve for a short time as PM (while you were at Eton and just before I was born). If your father was in politics at all, he most likely would have been an ally or rival. If you're interested I can share William's political CV.
