Character Creation:
Upon purchase you will be sent a link to an attendee survey to help us create and/ or pair you with a character you will enjoy portraying for the weekend. If you already have played a version of Romancing Jan, you can use a character you already created. You can also create a new character or ask us to provide one for you. Each attendee will have a simple goal or goals to achieve over thier time at the event such as sealing a business deal, finding a marriage partner, or making a match for someone else. We will work with you to pick a goal you will have fun with.
Costuming:
This is a costumed event, but it is set in an alternative history 1812, so there is no need to feel 100% historically accurate. Hoever we do ask that in order to add to the immersion you play along with your best fancy dress. In the weeks leading up to the event we will be posting links to reccomended outfits, but if you need any assistance, please reach out to gm@romancingjan.com and we will be happy to make some reccomendations from a wide range of budgets.
