(Also, do with this what you will, but I'm just saying... Ros should feel free to get Dinah into some measure of trouble, whether she means to or not!)

Dinah's mother is trying to secure a marriage for Dinah that would attach them to a titled family, so Rosaline's background (wealthy but not titled, marrying into a titled family, etc) might make an interesting foundation for acquaintanceship/friendship. I'd be happy to discuss them being cousins or something of the sort as well if you're interested! Dinah's family is newly wealthy, but I could see them possibly being related to the Ashtons, even if only distantly.

Honestly, i was kind of hoping to get her into SOME sort of trouble at some point! She's too sweet/naive, I can't help but think it would be fun. And she tends to assume the best of people, which could definitely lead to some uhhh slightly unfortunate situations for her, if luck isn't always on her side. I really like the thought of this! Maybe one of those inherited business deals led to some sort of arts-related event invite and they met that way? He also seems like the sort of person her mother might push her toward based on title alone, to be honest, particularly if she's not exactly caught up on his reputability...

I was thinking the same thing when I read through Beatrice's bio on the Nouveau Riche/etc post! I would love for them to be friends, especially someone she can try to puzzle through society with (or at least commiserate)

I don't think I ever actually specified how old Dinah is (out of my own indecision more than anything else) but I'm thinking she's young twenties - probably around 21, and her education was one of the first things her parents invested in. So I think that should work out well!
