I have noticed that some folks tend to slip into "expected" gender roles a fair bit, and I just wanted to remind everyone to use inclusionary language around gender. We do have a number of non-binary and gender non-conforming people so let's make sure we're using neutral and inclusive language! Just some thoughts going forward, I know none of us are used to historical games where trans folk can move about freely, and we aren't super experienced with ensuring these things are inclusive.

I have been giving some thought to the letter writing logistics. I know I, and several others are excited to play with Wax Seals, but I also know that the letters will be opened by staff and forwarded. So I’m trying to think of a way to utilize a wax seal while still giving the staff a way to open it. Maybe I will do an envelope in an envelope with the bottom slit open? Anyone have thoughts?

Hey there, Gosh this sort of historical game would usually give me a ton of pause after my experiences with the steampunk community. I think what the game runners are doing here is really fun and I am looking forward to it, but of course, I definitely want to get a feel for if you know, folks like me are here! Figured I would be brave and take the first step because gosh do I not enjoy being in a sea of cis-het folks who look down on me because my queerness is "not historically accurate."
